Amazon

Before heading out deep into the Amazon I spent a few hours at an animal orphanage outside of Iquitos.

Watch your fingers.
As we walked around the orphanage, and fed various animals this little guy followed us. He also attempted to steal food from all the other animals (except for the jaguar).

The next day I headed out on a speed boat 120 km deep into the Amazon with my guide, Aaron, whose Jungle Name is Elf due to his small stature.

Here´s a sunrise shot on the Amazon River
The jungle lodge where I spent 3 nights

Some fruit bats in hiding
Big ol´tarantula
My guide, Aaron, had the eyes of a hawk, and was constantly spotting animals. In one day he found 5 sloths and 8 iguanas. In this shot, he´s showing off his tree climbing skills as he "rescues" a sloth from the tree top.
Here he sending the three toed sloth to the boat for safety and further analysis.

I went camping for one night, which was more than enough considering the amount of mosquito and ant bites I received. Aaron´s cooking on his makeshift stove.

Aaron caught a 2 1/2 ft. anaconda.
